miappleme_Big_1Since two days I’ve been a lucky iPad Air owner! I purchased an iPad air WiFi + Cellular in silver color with 128 GB capacity. Up to this date I used an iPad 4th generation WiFi + cellular with 64 GB capacity. At least, the iPad air overcomes one big disadvantage of previous iPad generations: It is 28% lighter, 20% thinner and got 24% less volume. The weight was the main reason to switch to the iPad air. I was on the verge to buy an iPad mini because of its low weight. However, the display size is an important fact for me, too. Hence, I decided to go with the iPad Air. and it was the right decision: The iPad Air is really much lighter than as predecessors!

FileExplorer icon 204x204FileExplorer, one of my favorite file managing and FTP app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, became a minor update to from version 3.0.0 to 3.1.0 on November 13, 2013, and mainly fixes the incompatibility to Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. Further improvements are now an official Windows 8.1 and a Western Digital NAS support. Details about FileExplorer can be found on my latest review on FileExplorer.

Update: Fixing Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite Notes Crashes And Exchange Syncing Bugs

Mac OS X 10.9 IconIn this post I show you how to fix Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks Notes crashes and Notes syncing bugs with an exchange server. The fix should work on previous Mac OS X versions like 10.7 Lion and 10.8 Mountain Lion, too. Upgrading to Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks lead to several bugs concerning Gmail and exchange syncing. Further more, it could lead to Notes crashes and syncing bugs with exchange server. I on my own faced these two major bugs on my MacBook Pro (mid 2012).

I tested it right now and I can confirm it for my Acer Aspire 1810T running on Windows 8.1 Pro and my MacBook Pro 13” (Mid 2012) running on Mavericks. There was no need to change anything in the set up of  PlexConnect.

Plex LogoHere’s how to install a certificate on Apple TV without USB cable (micro USB cable) to get PlexConnect on your Apple TV. Installing a certificate on your Apple TV is essential to get PlexConnect running because of the silent Apple TV Software update from August 27, 2013. Up to now, it was necessary to connect your Apple TV to your computer (Mac and Windows PC) via a micro USB cable. Some people including me noticed that not every micro USB cable is working to get the Apple TV recognized in the iPhone configuration utility.
