Plex icon with Apple TV logoPlex (v0.9.9), PlexConnect (v0.4, July 24, 2014) and OpenPlex (v0.3.2) are running on Apple TV 7.0.1 beta (“iOS 8”) and Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite beta 8. On September 29, 2014, Apple released the Apple TV 7.0.1 beta (build number 6910) software. However, the Apple TV 7.0.1 software is only available for Apple TV 3rd generation (Model number A1427 – AppleTV3,1 – MD199LL/A) and 3rd generation rev a (Model number A1469 – AppleTV3,2 – MD199LL/A). This means that the final Apple TV 7.0.1 software only work on Apple TV 3 (3rd generation) and not on Apple TV 2 (2nd generation).

This means that the final Apple TV 7.0 software only work on Apple TV 3 (3rd generation) and not on Apple TV 2 (2nd generation).

The Golden Master of Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite is awaited end of September and fhe final release of  Yosemite will reportedly released on October 2014.

iTunes 11 iconiTunes 11.4 is perfectly running on Windows 8.1 update, as well as on Windows 8. iTunes 11.4 was released on September 9, 2014, including the ability to sync your favorite music, movies, and more to devices with iOS 8. iTunes installation crashes can be fixed following the workarounds already described for iTunes 11.X. iTunes 11.4 is installed and working on my Acer Aspire 1810T, running on Windows 8.1 update with Windows 8 Media Center installed.

iCloud Drive icon 220x220iCloud for Windows 4.0 (iCloud Control Panel) will support iCloud DriveiCloud Photo Library and iCloud Photo Sharing. iCloud for Windows beta 3 was released on July 21, 2014 and works on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. It is said, that the final version of iCloud for Windows will be released together with iOS 8. iCloud Drive has the potential to succeed against Dropbox or OneDrive, at least for iOS users. Update September 17, 2014: iCloud for Windows 4.0 released (Download it from here).

Plex icon with Apple TV logoPlexPlexConnect and OpenPlex (beta 0.2.5) are running on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite beta 7, positively tested both on an Apple TV 3 running on Apple TV 6.2 software and on an Apple TV 3 running on Apple TV 7.0 software (beta 4). Though, Apple published Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite beta 7 with build number ’14A343f’ on September 2, 2014, a new iOS 8 beta version and Apple TV 7.0 software beta version were not released, as expected by experts.
