Plex-PlexConnect-OpenPlex on Mac OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan beta 1

On September 17, 2015, Apple released Mac OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan beta 1  (build number 15B17c, (‘pre-release’). I positively tested it with an Apple TV 3 running on Apple TV 7.2 software. Find more about Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan on Apple’s Website. In contrast to OS X 10.11 El Capitan GM, I had NOT to re-install OpenPlex. There seem to be no big changes to OS X 10.11 El Capitan GM.

On September 9, 2015, Apple released Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan GM  (build number 15A282b, “Golden Master”). I positively tested it with an Apple TV 3 running on Apple TV 7.2 software. Find more about Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan on Apple’s Website. Like beta 2, beta 3 and beta 4 and in contrast to beta 5beta 6, beta 7 and beta 8, I had to re-install OpenPlex. There seem to be no big changes to beta 8.

In contrast to beta 2, beta 3 and beta 4 and similar to beta 5beta 6 and beta 7, I had not to re-install OpenPlex. There seem to be no big changes to beta 7.

In contrast to beta 2, beta 3 and beta 4 and similar to beta 5 and beta 6, I had not to re-install OpenPlex. There seem to be no big changes to beta 6.

On August 13, 2015, Apple released Mac OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite (build number 14F27, “final release”). I positively tested it with an Apple TV 3 running on Apple TV 7.2 software. Similar to beta 3, I had NOT to re-install OpenPlex. Referring to the release notes, the Mac OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite improves the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac.

The focus areas are the Mail and Photos app. There seem to be no big changes to OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite.

In contrast to beta 1, I had to re-install OpenPlex. Referring to the release notes, the Mac OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite beta 2 update improves the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac. The focus areas are the Mail and Photos app. There seem to be no big changes to OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite.

In contrast to beta 2, beta 3 and beta 4, I had not to re-install OpenPlex. There seem to be no big changes to beta 4.

On July 21, 2015, Apple released Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan beta 4 (build number 15A226f, “pre-release”). I positively tested it with an Apple TV 3 running on Apple TV 7.2 software. Find more about Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan on Apple’s Website. However, I had to re-install OpenPlex like I had to do in beta 2 and beta 3. In the installation note of beta 4 is stated that “After upgrading to OS X El Capitan Developer Beta, applications that write to protected/system locations may no longer function correctly.“. This is most probably the reason for the need of re-installation. There seem to be no big changes to beta 3.
