Maybe somebody has already encountered the same problems with iTunes in the cloud and iTunes Match as me:
You got differences between your iTunes library on your iPhone, iPad, apple TV and/or your Mac or PC. The main reason for this is the immediately and automatically starting iTunes Match in the moment you are adding songs to your iTunes library.
This can lead to the following situations:
A) Your album, e.g. from David Guetta, is correctly shown in iTunes on all of your devices, but on the PC file directory it is saved wrongly, for example, in the directory “unknown artist”.
B) Your album, e.g. a compilation, is correctly saved on your PC and correctly shown in iTunes on your Mac/PC, but in different and wrong ways on your other devices.
I luckily found the solution for both situations:
A) You should delete the complete album on your Mac/PC without deleting the album in the cloud. Load the album back from the cloud and then run iTunes Match and wait for a while to let iTunes Match sync correctly (I recommend to drink a cup of coffee or a bottle of beer in order to stay calm ). If you stayed cool, you will find the album correctly saved in the right directory on your Mac/PC!
B) For the case B) is the other way round: You should delete the complete album in the cloud and keep the album on your Mac/PC. Load again the album into iTunes and, after that, run iTunes Match and wait for a longer while to let iTunes Match sync correctly (I recommend to drink at a minimum 2 cups of coffee or 2 bottles of beer in order to stay calm ). If you stayed cool, you will find the album correctly displayed on your other devices!
Problems solved!
Stay tuned! 😉
