Update: Windows Phone 8.1: Setting Up iCloud Email, Calendars And Contacts
Windows Phone logoSome people like me want to sync the Windows Phone 8 Calendar with Mac iCal. There are two options for Syncing: On the one hand, you can sync the calendars using CalDAV via a Google account both on your Windows Phone 8 (does not work for Windows Phone 7 because CalDAV is not supported there) and on your Mac. On the other hand, you can do it via a iCloud calendar subscription using a Outlook.com account (or Windows Live account). The later one is ‘read only’ on your Windows Phone 8 meaning you cannot change or add events on your Windows Phone 8 (Windows Phone 7 is supported).

Update: How To Sync iCloud Calendar With Windows 10 Calendar App
iCloud logoSince a couple of days, iCloud Calendar subscription via Outlook.com / Windows Live is working again on Windows 8 mail app, Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8. Microsoft needed more than one and a half-year to fix the syncing problem. A lot of user, including me, were upset about the long period of time and the insane comments of some Microsoft forum administrators. I have checked my iCloud calendar subscription (‘read only’) for the last days and I can state that it is working again.

COOKOO watch iconYou can receive notifications on your COOKOO watch every time when you get an email to your Microsoft account (Hotmail, Live Mail, or Outlook.com). Before you begin, make sure you have set up your ConnecteDevice account from the COOKOO app. You will receive three new unique email addresses, named ‘token’:  One token for email forwarding, one for SMS forwarding and another for Voicemail forwarding. Your unique email token is needed in the following.

Here’s how to proceed:

  1. Open the COOKOO app and select “Settings”.
  2. Tap the “My accounts” bar.
  3. Tap the “ConnecteDevice” bar.

Update: Windows Phone 8.1: Setting Up iCloud Email, Calendars And Contacts
Outlook.com LogoA lot of people have the need to get a least their iCloud calendar subscribed to the Windows 8 calendar app and/or to their Windows Phone 7 / 8 calendar. A bunch of threads about this problem of syncing iCloud to Outlook.com, which is supported by Windows 8 and Windows Phone 7 and 8, can be found on the Microsoft Community Forums.

Update: How To Sync Google Calendar With Windows 10 Calendar App
Windows 8 logoSome months ago I describe a solution how to set up iCloud Calendar in Windows 8 Mail App as a ‘read-only’ possibility. Setting up the Google Gmail calendar in Windows 8 calendar app works in the same way: The solution is to subscribe to your own Google Gmail calendar in your outlook.com or Windows Live account. With that you can partly bypass the restriction that Google stopped supporting Microsoft Exchange Active Sync protocol.

Update: Windows Phone 8.1: Setting Up iCloud Email, Calendars And Contacts
iCloud logoIn November I blogged about ‘Setting Up iCloud Calendar in Windows 8 Mail App‘. This could be applied to a Windows Phone 7 or Windows Phone 8, too. But a reader of my blog, Luca, reported problems in adding iCloud calendar to his ‘Windows Live’. I checked my ‘Windows Live / Outlook.com’ account and got the same issue. I got a look into my iCloud subscription in my Google calendar, too, and tried to add my iCloud calendar, but I failed.

Update: How To Sync iCloud Calendar With Windows 10 Calendar App
Windows 8 logoSome days ago I describe a solution to set up iCloud email in Windows 8 mail app. Setting up the iCloud calendar in Windows 8 mail app is not that easy and only ‘read only’ is possible. The solution is to subscribe to your own iCloud calendar in your outlook.com or Windows Live account. Syncing Google Calendar (Gmail) with Windows 8 mail app via ‘read only’ is also possible: Setting Up Google Calendar Syncing In Windows 8 Calendar App.
