…coming soon: How to play your private DVDs on apple TV without any jailbreak! 😉
I’m not really a fan of things I cannot see or touch. Therefor I’m not really a fan of cloud computing, too, but it is a very versatile tool.
So I was looking for an alternative for a longer time. On the one hand there are the expensive ones: NAS-drives by, e.g., Synology. On the other hand there are the cheap ones: External USB-drives at round about 50 Euros (1 TB) connected directly to, e.g., your Fritz!Box, but these ones are slowly and the installation is a little bit tricky for iPhone and iPad.
As I’ve promised, now part 2 of the story why I’ve been keen on apple products since January 21st, 2011:
Soon after buying a HD7 I had to recognize that I couldn’t get all the same apps I have seen in the app store. 🙁
The biggest lack was the missing mobile navigation: Neither tomtom nor navigon had an app for the HD7 (ok, there have been the Telekom select navigon version, but I’m not a T-com customer…).
Within exactly one year I purchased the following apple products:
1. iPhone 4
2. iPad 2
3. apple TV 2
4. airport extreme base station
5. airport express station
Every item I’ve got was bought because of a distinct reason! In miApple.me I will tell you every single reason! And I can tell you, it was a long and painful way for me to recognize that Apple products are the better way….
I would like to tell you more about the reasons why I change my mind completely in respect to apple and its products:
On one day in December 2010 a very good friend of mine came over for a beer or two and proudly showed me his new mobile phone: The incredible huge HTC HD7 with the brand new Windows Phone 7 OS! I was splashed! It was fantastic: The big touch screen, the high resolution and, up to this moment absolutely unknown to me, the Windows Phone market place with amazong apps like Shazam.
It’s exactly one year ago: On January 21st 2011 at 11:49 a.m. I bought my very first apple product:
An iPhone 4!
Up to this date I have always stated loudly and clearly:
I will NEVER EVER buy any apple product!
But now I’m much wiser than before and now I’ve got only a few apple products…. 😉
