I was looking for a tool to get my own DVD on the apple TV 2 and I found a solution that works fine for me at aimersoft.
Their main app is DVD-ripper with a huge number of possibilities to convert DVDs (Tutorial: http://www.aimersoft.com/tutorial/dvd-to-itunes.html).
I bought the DVD-to-iPad-Converter because the iPad 2 got the same resolution like the apple TV 2 (720p) and this programm has got the best cost-performance ration for myself.
The tutorial can be found under ‘http://www.aimersoft.com/tutorial/dvd-to-ipad-converter.html’, its similar to that one of the DVD-to-iTunes-converter. I have always chosen the “iPad HD video” to get the highest resolution.
