Outlook AutoComplete NK2 files are moved to Outlook 2016, Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2010 by the Outlook built-in ‘outlook.exe /importnk2’ command. If you migrate an Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016 AutoComplete file to a new profile or computer, just copy and paste the stream_autocomplete*.dat file to the correct folder path or use the app NK2Edit. The freeware NK2Edit is the right tool for editing, converting and merging NK2 files (Outlook 2007 and earlier) or AutoComplete .dat files (Outlook 2010 and later).
Outlook for Mac (2016) now supports of Google Calendars and Contacts. In contrast, still neither iCloud calendars and iCloud contacts, nor CalDAV and CardDAV are supported on Outlook for Mac. Starting with the preview of Outlook 2016 for Mac, version 15.34 (build number 1704419), Outlook for Mac adds improved support for Google Accounts. Furthermore, the setup of a Google Account, both Gmail or G Suite for business, is improved. In addition, Outlook for Mac 2016, 15.34 (build number 1704419) is now working seamlessly with Google’s 2-step-verification. The predecessor version 15.33 was not compatible to Google’s 2-step-verification.
iCloud for Windows 5.1 supports Outlook 2016 on Windows 10. Update iCloud for Windows to access and sync iCloud mail, iCloud contacts, iCloud calendars, iCloud reminders / tasks in Outlook 2016. iCloud notes are not supported. iCloud for Windows 5.1 also supports iCloud drive and iCloud photos and syncs browser’s bookmarks via iCloud on Windows 10. iCloud for Windows 5 update adds iCloud Photo Library and two-factor Authentication for Apple ID accounts and needs Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Windows users were previously limited to accessing iCloud Photo Library through the web interface. Despite iCloud for Windows 5 is compatible to Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2013. Based on the release notes, the latest Outlook 2016 is not supported.
Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar For Windows 10 Mobile on phones and small tablets – ‘Mail’ And ‘Calendar’ App For Windows 10 on desktops, laptops and larger PCs beside Outlook 2016 for Windows 10. Now things are getting much clearer. Microsoft explains the new Outlook for Windows 10 Mobile on the Windows Store (beta = gray) on Windows 10 Insider preview, build number 10074.
The updated Mail and Calendar apps for Windows 10 Technical Preview, build 10061, show the latest Outlook icon when you start the Mail and Calendar app for the very first time. This means that Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar for Windows 10 will really become Microsoft’s new built-in email and calendar client: Outlook for Windows 1o will be divided into two apps. Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar are already the universal email and calendar apps for android and Windows 10 for phones.
