As I have already posted, MetaWatch Manager version 1.2.5 does not work on iOS 7 (beta, Golden Master). On September 18, 2013, MetaWatch Manager 1.3 and the new MetaWatch Firmware 1.5 were released. I checked it out immediately: MetaWatch Manager now works prefectly on my iPhone 4S running on iOS 7. However, you have to update the firmware , too (requires Mac OS X 10.4 Lion or Windows). Further more, the MetaWatch Manager 1.3 is now pushing all notifications of your iPhone to your MetaWatch (iOS 7 required)! iOS7 seamlessly connects the MetaWatch to all push notifications (if notifications are activated on iPhone settings). MetaWatch Manager also includes a new feature called MetaFilter, a dynamic filtering system that learns what apps are enabled on the phone and then lets users choose which ones can forward notifications to the wrist. MetaWatch officially points out the following the possibilities:
- Accuweather
- ESPN ScoreCenter
- CNN
- Skype
- Gmail
- Tripit
- Google Maps (with turn-by-turn directions)
- Shopify
- Dropbox
- …and many more!
Here are some screenshots of the updated MetaWatch Manager 1.3 app:
Up to now, it seems that the MetaWatch Manager 1.3 on iOS 7 is running more stably and there aren’t any bluetooth connection failures anymore. In my point of view, the updates of MetaWatch Manager 1.3 and of MetaWatch firmware 1.5 for compatibility to iOS 7 are a big step ahead, especially, because of using the new possibilities of iOS 7, especially the iOS 7 notifications, which are now included. My greatest wish is now fulfilled: Getting email notifications of every email account is now working!
Stay tuned! 😉

Same issue here. My Metawatch has frozen and nothing works. It doesn’t respond to hard reset attempt and I get nothing by connecting to a PC with the usb cable. The display works but hasn’t changed in days … the back light doesn’t even work. I’d say it’s a paper weight but it’s too light for even that. Boooo!
Hi Brent Bean,
have you already updated to the latest firmware?
Cheers,
Gee Are
yep, me too, my frame is a paperweight, the updater for the first time wont recognise the watch??? whats going on with that??? Am waiting for support over a week now. good luck ben!
Hi Wade,
is your problem now solved?
Cheers,
Gee Are
Unfortunately my update experience has not been so positive. My Frame has completely frozen (can’t even hard reset) twice now using the new firmware and the new app. I have contacted support. We’ll see what happens.
Hi Ben,
that’s really annoying! Maybe you can try it again when the MetaWatch battery is empty….
Please, let us know, if you get any response from the support!
Cheers,
Gee Are
