iTunes 11.3 is perfectly running on Windows 8.1 update, as well on Windows 8. iTunes 11.3 was released on July 10, 2014, including several improvements to iTunes Extras and new features for HD movies. iTunes installation crashes can be fixed following the workarounds already described for iTunes 11.X. iTunes 11.3 is installed and working on my Acer Aspire 1810T, running on Windows 8.1 update with Windows 8 Media Center installed.
Here’s the prove for iTunes 11.3 installation success on Windows 8.1 update:
iTunes 11.3 can be directly downloaded from here. The detailed iTunes 11.3.0 release notes are:
“iTunes 11.3 includes all-new iTunes Extras for HD movies. iTunes Extras can include behind-the-scenes videos, short films, high-resolution image galleries, director’s commentary, scenes, and more. These immersive iTunes Extras can also be enjoyed on Apple TV with Software Update 6.2 now, and will be available on iOS 8 this fall.
New iTunes Extras will be automatically added to your previously purchased HD movies as they become available—at no additional charge.

Apple has added a feature page to the iTunes Store highlighting iTunes Extras and compatible movies. The page also includes a promotional video for iTunes Extras.
If you face problems (crashes, hanging, no installation success) in installing iTunes 11.3 on a Windows PC follow the installation guide for iTunes on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. If you get crashes of iTunes 11.3 after installation it, follow the fixing guide for iTunes on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 and the support document for iTunes 11.1 Windows installations.
iTunes 11.3 is working seamlessly on Windows 8.1 update. I expect that iTunes 11.3 will also run on Windows 8. What is your experience with updating iTunes 11.3.0.54? Let us know and comment!
Stay tuned! 😉

I am trying to download itunes 11.3 on my windows 8.1 laptop, but when I attempt to run the itunes64setup.exe nothing seems to happen. I just click and nothing runs.
Any ideas?
Hi Andrews,
first, reboot your PC and try to install it ‘as administrator’.
If this doesn’t work:
Have you ever installed a previous iTunes version before? If so, deinstall iTunes completely following this post:
