If ‘Device not found’ appears in the Airport Utility app on your Mac, it means that your AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express or Time Capsule is not showing up in the AirPort Utility app and hence, not accessible. Nevertheless, your AirPort or Time Capsule device is still working and reachable via Finder app. The Fix ‘Device not found’ in AirPort Utility for AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express and Time Capsule is done by unplugging the AirPort device and then deleting Apple ID in Back to my Mac.
Learn how to format external hard drives to FAT32 on Windows 10, especially how to format an USB Flash drive or external hard drive to FAT32 without 32GB limitation on Windows 10. The former recommendation fat32formatter is an excellent small tool to format external hard drives to FAT32 on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, but does not work anymore on Windows 10. Fat32formatter can be started, but you cannot format any drive. I found the Macrorit Partition Expert Professional Edition (Version: 3.9.8, updated on Jul 22, 2016) and it is working seamlessly to format FAT32 on Windows 10.
Since two days I’ve been a lucky iPad Air owner! I purchased an iPad air WiFi + Cellular in silver color with 128 GB capacity. Up to this date I used an iPad 4th generation WiFi + cellular with 64 GB capacity. At least, the iPad air overcomes one big disadvantage of previous iPad generations: It is 28% lighter, 20% thinner and got 24% less volume. The weight was the main reason to switch to the iPad air. I was on the verge to buy an iPad mini because of its low weight. However, the display size is an important fact for me, too. Hence, I decided to go with the iPad Air. and it was the right decision: The iPad Air is really much lighter than as predecessors!
Since February 7, 2013, I’ve been a lucky MacBook Pro owner! I was absolutely fed up with the underperformance of my Windows PC, an Acer Aspire 1810T running on Windows 8. I gave this Windows PC a last chance: I installed Windows 8 in the hope of a better performance, but I was absolutely disappointed!
Changing some settings in the Vodafone DSL-EasyBox 803 isn’t really easy, especially to extend the WiFi network is a mess: The EasyBox isn’t accepting an Airport Express Station (2nd generation, MB321Z/A) or an Airport Express Base Station (3rd generation, MC414Z/A) as WLAN repeaters because of its WPS safety protocol.
This January becomes the ‘Month of AirPlay’ at miApple.me: Three days ago I wrote an article about AirParrot, an app for AirPlay mirroring MAC or Windows PC screens. At least two further articles about AirPlaying apps are planned. Today I review Airfoil for Windows 3.3.2, an Windows app for AirPlaying music or sounds (!) from a Windows PC to AirPlay Devices like iPhone, iPads,…. There’s an Airfoil for MAC, too. The installation is simple, just downloading and installing as administrator. Keep in mind potential Windows fire wall issues. In my case there were no issues.
First, on September 23, I switch from my iPhone 4 (32 GB) to a new iPhone 4S (64 GB). The speed improvement is really significant, especially if you use apps like iPhoto. Further more, I wanted to see how “Siri” works. But after testing for a while I’ve got the opinion that you can only use it if you are alone in a room because this will irritate other people if you are speaking, but not with them… 😉
Yesterday I received the brand new Airport Express Base Station(3rd generation, MC414Z/A)! The main advantage in contrast to the precessor versions is an additional 100 MBit/s ethernet LAN port. Yes, it is not a 1GBit/s ethernet LAN port! In the first instance, I was somehow disappointed, but I checked the transfer rates with my PC from and to my ‘My Book Live’: 12 MB/s from and 6 MB/s to the My Book Live. That’s OK to me.
Last friday I bought the Apple camera connection kit (MC531ZM/A): Apple camera connection kit (apple store). The main advantage in contrast to competitors products such as zoomit is the faster photo transfer speed. Transferring a photo of 1-2 MB takes only a few seconds. Further more, you do not need to charged the kits. They are powered by the ipad itself.
Now I’ve got the following apple products:
1. iPhone 4, 32 GB (MC319DN/A)
2. iPad 2 WiFi + 3G, 64 GB (2nd generation, FC775FD/A)
3. Apple TV 3 (3rd generation, MD199FD/A)
4. Apple TV 2 (2nd generation, MC572FD/A)
5. Airport extreme base station (5th generation, MD031Z/A)
