If ‘Device not found’ appears in the Airport Utility app on your Mac, it means that your AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express or Time Capsule is not showing up in the AirPort Utility app and hence, not accessible. Nevertheless, your AirPort or Time Capsule device is still working and reachable via Finder app. The Fix ‘Device not found’ in AirPort Utility for AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express and Time Capsule is done by unplugging the AirPort device and then deleting Apple ID in Back to my Mac.
Learn how to fix Apple’s AirPort Time Capsule randomly turns itself off or powers down on its own, the status light went off. The source of AirPort Time Capsule randomly switch itself off is either a defect device or the connection of the Time Capsule’s power cable to an AC outlet.

Learn how to format external hard drives to FAT32 on Windows 10, especially how to format an USB Flash drive or external hard drive to FAT32 without 32GB limitation on Windows 10. The former recommendation fat32formatter is an excellent small tool to format external hard drives to FAT32 on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, but does not work anymore on Windows 10. Fat32formatter can be started, but you cannot format any drive. I found the Macrorit Partition Expert Professional Edition (Version: 3.9.8, updated on Jul 22, 2016) and it is working seamlessly to format FAT32 on Windows 10.
iStorage 2 HD 2.4 is a universal file manager and FTP app for iPhone and iPad. Since my first review about iStorage 2 HD on June 24, 2012, iStorage 2 HD was much improved and got a universal app. The last update 2.4.1 was released 8 months ago on September 3, 2013. Therefore, I was interested if iStorage 2 HD still fits my requirements on iOS 7.

Since two days I’ve been a lucky iPad Air owner! I purchased an iPad air WiFi + Cellular in silver color with 128 GB capacity. Up to this date I used an iPad 4th generation WiFi + cellular with 64 GB capacity. At least, the iPad air overcomes one big disadvantage of previous iPad generations: It is 28% lighter, 20% thinner and got 24% less volume. The weight was the main reason to switch to the iPad air. I was on the verge to buy an iPad mini because of its low weight. However, the display size is an important fact for me, too. Hence, I decided to go with the iPad Air. and it was the right decision: The iPad Air is really much lighter than as predecessors!
FileExplorer, one of my favorite file managing and FTP app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, became a minor update to from version 3.0.0 to 3.1.0 on November 13, 2013, and mainly fixes the incompatibility to Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. Further improvements are now an official Windows 8.1 and a Western Digital NAS support. Details about FileExplorer can be found on my latest review on FileExplorer.
FileExplorer became a major update to version 3 and nails my rating that it is the best FTP-NAS-private iCloud app for iPhone, iPad and iPad touch. FileExplorer 3 is completely redesigned to fit perfectly with the flat design of iOS 7. The only ‘disadvantage’ of FileExplorer, I’ve mentioned in my review on the 3 best FTP apps for iPhone and iPad, is now overcome. AirDrop is also integrated now. Altogether, the usability is improved, especially, file uploads are easier accessible.
Update: The Best File Manager And FTP Apps for iPhone And iPad (Review)
In July 2012 I reviewed 9 FTP clients for iPhone and iPad. The best FTP – NAS ‘Private iCloud’ app was definitely the File Explorer app, followed by iStorage HD (iPad) / iStorage (iPhone). The later ones got too many crashes. But the successors, iStorage 2 HD (iPad) and iStorage (iPhone), perform better now.
