As observed on the new PhotoSync for Android website, in the PhotoSync 2.1 for iOS beta version and on the release notes of the PhotoSync Companion for Mac and for Windows updates, PhotoSync for Android 1.0 is just released and now available in the Google Play store. The PhotoSync for Android support page is already online, too.

PhotoSync Logo new finalTouchbyte, the makers of PhotoSync, released today PhotoSync Companion 2.1 for Mac OS X and PhotoSync Companion 2.2.0 for Windows. The most important news are the upcoming releases of PhotoSync 2.1 for iOS and PhotoSync for Android 1.0 mentioned in the release notes. As already indicated in PhotoSync 2.1 for iOS beta and on the new PhotoSync homepage (still under construction) support of Android devices is obviously coming soon. In addition, the PhotoSync logo has now a new and flat design in iOS 7 look.

PhotoSync logo newPhotoSync 2.1, to date still in beta version, will likely include transfer of photos and videos from and to Android devices, a new design, performance improvements, 5 more languages and bug fixes.

PhotoSync is a versatile photo and video syncing app. You can use it with the most common cloud services and for your private cloud / iCloud (for details see my review on PhotoSync 2.0). In addition, PhotoSync transfers also your photos and videos to a Windows PC or a Mac.

PhotoSync logo newPhotoSync for Android Devices is most likely coming! The makers of PhotoSync for iOS, touchbyte GmbH, are obviously working on PhotoSync for Android devices.  Web pages of the new PhotoSync for Android domain are showing this in detail. The website seems to be still under construction.

PhotoSync App LogoAs you may know, I really like PhotoSync App, especially, because of the high-speed photo file transfer and the excellent and free Windows PC (running on Windows 8) and Mac (running on OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion) companions. Today PhotoSync 2.0 for iPhone and iPad (universal app) was released. I intensively tested the new version: It’s a big step ahead!

Update: PhotoSync 2.0 review

PhotoSync App LogoPhotoSync has been one of my very first file transferring and syncing apps. I’ve already reported about PhotoSync eleven months before (with special focus on the settings!). But how is PhotoSync 1.7.2 app doing right now? Almost perfectly: The PhotoSync Companions are running stably both on Windows 8 (version 1.6.4 released on November 22, 2012) and OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion (version 1.6.1 released on September 4, 2012). Further more, the universal iOS app for iPhone and iPad does what it should do (version 1.7.2. released on December 28, 2012). Last but not least, you got a big number of cloud services you can access via PhotoSync app. 🙂 But I could not connect PhotoSync to a Time Capsule. 🙁

Documents By Readdle FTPIn July 2012 I reviewed 9 FTP clients for iPhone and iPad. The best FTP – NAS ‘Private iCloud’ app was definitely the File Explorer app, followed by iStorage HD (iPad) / iStorage (iPhone). The later ones got too many crashes. But the successors, iStorage 2 HD (iPad) and iStorage (iPhone), perform better now.
