PhotoSync 2.2 for iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) update adds Wake-On-LAN (WoL) support for Autotransfer and Quick transfer to computer, support for Toshiba Canvio Wireless Adapter and hierarchy view for SmugMug. PhotoSync 2.2 is not published yet, but will be released within the next days. (Update: PhotoSync 2.2 was released on May, 19, 2014.)
My review on Cloud Commander 3.6.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch comes to the result that Cloud Commander is the best file manager and FTP manager for my private cloud / iCloud, cloud services, FTP (NAS), SMB (Windows, Mac, Time Capsule) I’ve ever tested. Additional, you can get Cloud Commander for Mac and Cloud Commander SkyDrive Edition for Mac (supports SkyDrive and SkyDrive Pro / Sharepoint 2013).
As you may know, I really like PhotoSync App, especially, because of the high-speed photo file transfer and the excellent and free Windows PC (running on Windows 8) and Mac (running on OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion) companions. Today PhotoSync 2.0 for iPhone and iPad (universal app) was released. I intensively tested the new version: It’s a big step ahead!
Update: PhotoSync 2.0 review
PhotoSync has been one of my very first file transferring and syncing apps. I’ve already reported about PhotoSync eleven months before (with special focus on the settings!). But how is PhotoSync 1.7.2 app doing right now? Almost perfectly: The PhotoSync Companions are running stably both on Windows 8 (version 1.6.4 released on November 22, 2012) and OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion (version 1.6.1 released on September 4, 2012). Further more, the universal iOS app for iPhone and iPad does what it should do (version 1.7.2. released on December 28, 2012). Last but not least, you got a big number of cloud services you can access via PhotoSync app. 🙂 But I could not connect PhotoSync to a Time Capsule. 🙁
…if you upload photos in a format of maximum 2048 x 2048 pixels and upload videos up to 15 minutes length, you will get it! This is true for Picasa users with a Google+ profile. If you do not have a Google+ profile the upload limit is 800 x 800 pixel for free uploading photos, for video it is the same as with a Google+ profile. Detailed information can be found on Picasa help.
