Review: Simpler Contacts – Managing Contacts On iPhone And iPad

I have been looking for a long time to find an iOS app for managing contacts on iPhone and iPad because the native iOS Contacts app has only limited managing functions. Although there are many third-party apps on iOS 8 to easily add, move and remove contacts, most of them just allow to manage iCloud contact groups. This means other contacts account like Google’s Gmail contacts or other third-party contacts are not supported.

The only acceptable app I found after hours of searching and testing is the iOS universal app ‘Simpler Contacts – Pro‘ by Yoni Tserruya. Simpler Contacts Pro got full access to all contacts of the native iOS contacts app including Facebook contacts. For example, Outlook.com Exchange, Gmail, Gmail Google apps (Google Contacts) and other accounts are supported. Further more, simpler Contacts comes along in iOS 8 design.

So far, Simpler Contacts Pro is the best iOS app for managing address books on iPhone and iPad in my point of view. The sole point for improvement is the ‘Quick Search’ function for ‘All Contacts’: If you search for a contact and found it, you can edit the contact information, but you cannot manage the contact (add, move, copy, remove).
