I positively tested on both an Apple TV 3 running on Apple TV 7.0.1 software and on an Apple TV 3 running on Apple TV 7.0.2 beta software. The focus areas of this Yosemite seed are Wi-Fi (WLAN), Exchange accounts in Mail and Notification Center.

Similar to Apple TV 7.0.1, the Apple TV 7.0.2 beta software is only available for Apple TV 3rd generation (Model number A1427 – AppleTV3,1 – MD199LL/A) and 3rd generation rev a (Model number A1469 – AppleTV3,2 – MD199LL/A). This means that the final Apple TV 7.0.2 software only work on Apple TV 3 (3rd generation) and not on Apple TV 2 (2nd generation).

This means that the final Apple TV 7.0.1 software only work on Apple TV 3 (3rd generation) and not on Apple TV 2 (2nd generation).

The Mac OS X 10.10 was released on October 16, 2014. The awaited Apple TV 7.0.1 software was not released, but will probably be published together with iOS 8.1 on October, 20, 2014.

The release of Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite is awaited for October 16, 2014.

This means that the final Apple TV 7.0.1 software only work on Apple TV 3 (3rd generation) and not on Apple TV 2 (2nd generation).

This means that the final Apple TV 7.0 software only work on Apple TV 3 (3rd generation) and not on Apple TV 2 (2nd generation).

The Golden Master of Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite is awaited end of September and fhe final release of  Yosemite will reportedly released on October 2014.
