Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite iconFixing Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite app crashes works in the same way as it does for Notes app crashes and Exchange mail syncing bugs: The Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite app crashes (e.g. “Mail quit unexpectedly“) are fixed by deleting cashes of the dedicated app library containers. For example, the App Store app and Dropbox app reportedly crashes after upgrading to Yosemite (Kudos to Apolonious!). Mail app and Skype crashes are resolved as well.

Update: ‘Fixing Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite Notes Crashes And Exchange Syncing Bugs’ also applies to Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite iconIn this post I show you how to fix Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite Notes crashes and Notes syncing bugs with an exchange server. The fix should work on previous Mac OS X versions like 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion and 10.9 Mavericks, too. Upgrading to Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite leads to several bugs concerning Gmail and exchange syncing. Further more, it could lead to Notes app crashes and syncing bugs with exchange server. I on my own faced these two major bugs on my MacBook Pro (mid 2012).

Continuity Keypad icon

Continuity Keypad iconContinuity Keypad is a dialer to easily make handoff iPhone calls on your Mac. Continuity Keypad requires Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite because it uses Apple’s new Continuity feature coming with the new iOS 8 and Yosemite. By using Continuity, you can make and receive phone calls on those devices as long as your iPhone running iOS 8 is on the same Wi-Fi network. Incoming calls show the caller’s name, number, and profile picture. However, a dialer keypad is missing in Yosemite. You need to tap or click a phone number in Contacts, Calendar, or Safari. Continuity Keypad fills this lack.
