Update: Plex, PlexConnect And OpenPlex Running On Apple TV 7.0
PlexConnect is still running on Apple TV 6.2 software Update. On June 30, 2014, Apple released the Apple TV 6.2 (Build number 6622.214.171.124) software update for Apple TV 2nd and 3rd generation. PlexConnect enables to play Plex Media Server on Apple TV. I tested it right now and I can confirm it for my Acer Aspire 1810T running on Windows 8.1 Pro Update and my MacBook Pro 13” (Mid 2012) running on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite beta. There was no need to change anything in the set up of PlexConnect. Apple TV 6.2 includes general performance, stability and security improvements. Apple TV 6.2 update comes alongside the new iOS 7.1.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. That update adds:
- Improves iBeacon connectivity and stability
- Fixes a bug with data transfer for some 3rd party accessories, including bar code scanners
- Corrects an issue with data protection class of Mail attachments
